Apple will hold the ‘Wonderlust’ event during which it will launch the iPhone 15 and iPhone Pro series of smartphones. Reports have suggested that the Cupertino-based company will launch four iPhone models – two in each series – along with other hardware. What to expect from Apple ‘Wonderlust’ event
‘Wonderlust’ is Apple’s annual September event where it is expected to launch four new iPhones: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company may also launch two Apple Watch models – Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 – and a pair of next generation AirPods Pro.
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro: What’s new
Reports suggest that this year, all iPhone models will ditch the lighting port in favour of a USB Type-C connector after a decade of having it. The iPhone 15 Pro models are said to come with Thunderbolt 4 port, while the non-pro models may have the USB 2.0 standard port.
Rumours are that the titanium frame is likely to be another big feature of the iPhone 15 Pro models. The Pro models are expected to launch in silver, black and blue colours, along with a new option. Apple Watch Ultra’s ‘Action Button’ may also be making its way to iPhone 15 Pro models.
Meanwhile, both iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to come with the Dynamic Island functionality. They are also said to come with 48MP main camera sensors. When it comes to the iPhone 15 Pro, it is expected to retain the 3x telephoto lens from last year’s model and the iPhone 15 Pro Max may get a periscope camera.

As far as prices are concerned, the Pro models may get a bump but the non-pro models should cost the same, reports claimed.

It will start later today (September 12) at 10.30 pm IST. This event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple campus in Cupertino, California.
