It was recently reported that WhatsApp is working on an animated emoji feature. Now a report suggests that the Meta-owned platform is working on the feature to create stickers within the app.
WABetaInfo, the website which keeps track of the changes in WhatsApp build, has reported that the popular messaging app is working on a new sticker maker tool. The new feature will enable users to quickly create stickers from their images. The report adds that the feature uses iOS 16 APIs to extract a subject right out of an image and then, it is automatically converted into a sticker in the app.
WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot which clearly shows that WhatsApp is planning to introduce a “New Sticker” option within the chat share action sheet. This feature will prevent users from downloading any third-party application for stickers. The ability to create stickers by using an in-app sticker maker tool is under development and it is planned to be released in a future update of the app.

WhatsApp recently introduced Chat Lock feature
WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature called Chat Lock, allowing users to secure individual chats with a password. With this feature, users can protect their personal conversations by assigning a password. When a chat is locked, the sender’s name and message content remain hidden when receiving new messages. Locked chats are also organized in a separate folder, removed from the main chat list. Access to these locked chats requires either the device password or a biometric authentication method, such as a fingerprint scan.
