The status feature on WhatsApp allows users to share photos, videos, and text with their contacts. The status disappears after 24 hours and is similar to the Stories feature available on other social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat.
In its recent update, WhatsApp added a Status Ring feature to its platform. When a user updates their status, it appears as a small circle next to their profile picture in WhatsApp. It appears as a reminder for other users to view their status by clicking on the circle. However, users can also view the status by accessing the status tab in the app. Users can also reply to a status privately or share it with their own contacts.
The status feature is also available on Instagram and Facebook allowing users to share the same WhatsApp status on these two platforms. However, this feature was not available on WhatsApp for months.
Recently, WhatsApp rolled out an update for its users that allows them to share their WhatsApp Status directly on Facebook from the app itself.
To share your WhatsApp status on Facebook, follow these steps:
Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
Swipe left or tap on the Status tab will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Tap on the camera icon and select the status you want to share on Facebook.
Tap on the three dots located at the top right corner of the screen.
Once the Status is uploaded, tap on the three horizontal dots located right beside the Status.
Select “Share to Facebook” from the options that appear.s
In case you have not connected your WhatsApp account to Facebook yet, you will be asked to do so.
Add any additional captions or comments to your post if you wish.
Choose the set of audience you want to share the post with. It could be either Public, Friends, Only me, etc.
Now, tap on the “Post” button to share your WhatsApp status on Facebook.
